  • FAQs
  • I am having technical difficulties with the site. Where do I go for help?

If you are having trouble with the site, please contact the Speakers Bureau directly at bureau@csc-scc.gc.ca.

  • Do I have to pay the speaker for their time?

No. The Speakers Bureau is a voluntary program that CSC employees join in addition to their regular work responsibilities.

  • Am I allowed to give my speaker a gift or honorarium after the presentation?

Speakers are provided to your organization with the intent of promoting increased awareness and understanding of the various programs and activities relating to the Correctional Service of Canada. Our speakers volunteer their time in these activities and there is no expectation from either the speakers or the organization that their appearance be acknowledged by either a gift or an honorarium. In fact, as employees of the Federal Government these speakers are bound by the Public Servants Code of Values and Ethics which prevents their acceptance of gifts in certain situations. If you or your organization, believes it should recognize the speaker, it is suggested that any recognition should be of a nominal nature. To find out more, go to www.psagency-agencefp.gc.ca/veo-bve/index_e.asp.

  • I had an exceptional speaker at my event. How can I make sure that this person gets recognition from his or her supervisor?

If you had an exceptional speaker at your event, you are welcome to send a note to the Speakers Bureau manager at bureau@csc-scc.gc.ca. We will forward your comments to the speaker and to his or her supervisor.

  • Who is listed in the Speakers Bureau?

  • What type of events do speakers usually speak at?
